Organic Farmer Training & Development

Center organises workshops and training sessions to impart knowledge on farming practices free of any chemical usage, preparation of organic inputs, seed saving, crop systems

Women & Youth Empowerment

To empower women and youth the Center puts them into apprenticeship programs related to farming, food processing etc for capacity enhancement. Initiatives are also taken to organise women into Self Help Groups (SHGs) to engage into processing/value addition activities.

Education and Agro-Tourism

To connect urban world with agriculture the center, through tourism industry, invites people to stay with the farmers. This leads to extra income for the farmer and a one-of-kind experience for people.

Millets are fundamentally grasses. They are cultivated worldwide, but especially in the tropical parts of Africa and Asia, as cereal crops.

It's been 8 years since Sher Singh ji has been using a range of #natural resources like desi cow gobar & gaumutr, weeds, as agri inputs to cultivate crops and manage pests at his farm. Today he grows a few crops like wheat, Ground nut, few veggies and has more than 150 #fruit plants. The #journey has been very arduous but the #fruits are very #sweet and aromatic. With procurement help from @arenaorganica he has been able to not only sell his produce but also he's embarked on a mission to turn conventional farmers into #organic ones. As a group leader he is guiding around 50 #farmers in the nearby areas on different problems associated with #organicfarming . He has been chosen as the master trainer by @c4organiclife He has also taken the responsibility of some food processing at his farm.

The more we speak about the benefits of pulses the lesser it is. Our health builds on the #nutrition that pulses provide to us directly in the form of proteins. Indirectly it improves the health of soil which leads to good quality crops. We get only as much of nutrition from our #food as much the soil has provided to the crops. The way we need nutrition to grow #soil also needs. Pulses facilitate nutrition availability to the soil. Food grown in a soil that has lesser nutrition will carry only a very little amount of that nutrition. Put it simply- a weak #mother gives #birth to a weak #child. To avoid that weakness, we need to grow and eat pulses and consequently carve #sustainable

दालों के फायदों की जितनी बात की जाए कम है। हमारा स्वास्थ्य उस पोषण पर निर्भर करता है जो दालें हमें सीधे प्रोटीन के रूप में प्रदान करती हैं। परोक्ष रूप से यह मिट्टी के स्वास्थ्य में सुधार करता है जिससे अच्छी गुणवत्ता वाली फसलें प्राप्त होती हैं। हमें अपने भोजन से उतना ही पोषण मिलता है जितना मिट्टी ने फसलों को प्रदान किया है। जिस तरह हमें बढ़ने के लिए पोषण की जरूरत होती है, उसी तरह मिट्टी को भी इसकी जरूरत होती है। दालें मिट्टी को पोषण की उपलब्धता को सुगम बनाती हैं। कम पोषण वाली मिट्टी में उगाए गए भोजन में उस पोषण की बहुत कम मात्रा ही होगी। सीधे शब्दों में कहें तो कमजोर मां एक कमजोर बच्चे को जन्म देती है। उस कमजोरी से बचने के लिए हमें दालों को उगाना और खाना चाहिए और फलस्वरूप खेती, खाने और जीने को टिकाऊ बनाती है।
